Yet Another Reason to Go to Starbucks
Starbucks has been making the news quite a bit this year. First, it was the new breakfast sandwiches. Next, they announced that 600 locations were closing and now, they are launching Vivanno Nourishing Blends. This is one addition to Starbucks lineup of nutritious, great tasting options.
There will be two options to begin with, and each 16 oz serving will contain 270 calories or less, 5g of fat or less, and at least 16g of protein, 5g of fiber and one serving of fruit.
- Orange Mango Banana Blend: This contains great tasting Naked Juice and is packed full of whey protein to give you that extra energy boost. To increase the nutritional value and give you another kick of energy, ask to add the Matcha Green Tea powder to your order.
- Banana Chocolate Blend: This drink combines bittersweet cocoa, a banana, whey protein and fiber protein to satisfy any craving for sweets that you might have. If you want an added wake-me-up, ask for a shot of espresso to top this off.
These nourishing and delicious smoothies retail for $3.75 - $3.95. These will be available starting today.

A new study showed that athletes who consumed carbohydrates and drank caffeine had 66 per cent more glycogen in their muscles four hours after working out, versus athletes who consumed carbohydrates alone.

What an interesting study! It definitely makes me feel better about my coffee addiction.
