Happy National Ice Cream Day

Ice Cream - the perfect treat for a hot summer day, but did you know that there is actually a National Ice Cream Month? or even further a National Ice Cream Day? So go ahead, indulge, today is the day.
Yes, back in 1984, President Ronald Reagan recognized ice cream as a fun and nutritious food that was enjoyed by 90% of Americans. In knowing this, he designated July as National Ice Cream month and further named the 3rd Sunday of July as National Ice Cream Day. His goal was for Americans to celebrate the day with “appropriate ceremonies and activities.” Free ice cream at Publix anyone? I wish.
